I'm the photographer behind 5280 Photos. I've been making portraits professionally for over seven years across Denver and the Front Range, and I work the way most people wish photographers would. I don't bark instructions. I don't keep checking my watch. And I don't try to turn anyone into someone they aren't in front of the camera.

The thing I get told most often after a session is that it didn't feel like a photo shoot. That's the entire point. Real portraits happen when people stop performing for the camera and start being themselves in front of one. Whether it's a senior who hates being photographed, a family with three small kids who refuse to stand still, or a couple who haven't been in front of a camera together since their wedding day, my job is to make the next forty-five minutes feel easy enough that the photographs come out honest.

I shoot all over the Denver metro and the Front Range — Wash Park, Red Rocks, the Botanic Gardens, Genesee, Sloan's Lake, and a handful of quieter spots most photographers don't know about. I'll meet you on location, work with whatever light we get, and send back a gallery that looks like your actual life — not a magazine spread you won't recognize yourselves in.
